The Fairy Hill Trail (Sheemore)

Start the day with a cycle to a quiet location on the Shannon Erne Waterway for a 1 Hour fishing lesson with a local fisherman and hopefully hook a fish or two, (Optional - Minimum 4 people).

Follow the guide map on a loop of the historical Sheemore Hill. This is an easy cycle taking in stunning views of Sliabh An Iarainn and gently rolling hills and quiet countryside where nature can be thoroughly enjoyed.

Referred to as the fairy hill, Sheemore Hill is steeped in history with 3 megalithic tombs and a large crucifix at the summit. A spectacular 360 degree view over the surrounding area makes a climb even more rewarding.

You can either return to base or continue on to Carrick on Shannon where you can enjoy all the facilities that this River Shannon town has to offer.

Suitable for all. 

Distance: 15 Km to 34 Km depending on return route

Minimum cycle time: 1.5 hours for 15 km route, 2.5 hours for 34 km route
Prices: Electric bike day hire €30 pp, Regular bike day hire €20 pp
